Blacktail Ranch
June 16-23 and 23-30, 2007
Come join us at the beautiful
Blacktail Ranch at Wolf Creek, Montana for a week of
meditation, movement and study. The ranch is in a peace
valley used by several American Indian tribes for over 6,000
years. Tools from the Clovis people and animal bones dating
as far back as the Ice Age, over 20,000 years ago have been
discovered on the ranch. The ranch consists of 8,000 acres
of hills, grasslands, forest and mountains. The owners, Tag
and Sandra, and the rest of the staff are warm, welcoming
people who have a wonderful tradition of service. The
abundant food is gourmet vegetarian, and the accommodations
are very comfortable.

Practical Tantra: Living as a Warrior Sage
The SuperConscious Meditation
tradition of Swami Rama is a sophisticated tantric tradition
from the Himalayan Mountains. For those initiated into this
tradition, it is often difficult to find authentic teachings
that go beyond the introductory practices and principles of Raja
Yoga which serve as the foundation practices for the more
sophisticated tantric traditions of Shaktism and Kashmir Saivism.
In this seminar, we explore the sophisticated philosophies and
practices that are the heart of SuperConscious Meditation. You
will have the opportunity to share insights and study with those
who are just beginning their journey and with those who have
traveled this road for many years. We will explore the deeper
tantric traditions and delve into the practices, principles and
insights that illumine the Sages of the Himalayas. We will also
enjoy hiking and a float trip down the Blackfoot River.
The principles of genuine trantric traditions lead to independence of thought and
spiritual knowledge. The power of the Divine lies within each
and everyone. Tantric philosophy and practices are designed to
help you recognize this power. Come and discover the real
teacher within. Join us in an exploration of personal mastery,
creative power and joy.
In the first retreat (June 16-23)
we begin an exploration of Swami Rama’s book “The Perennial
Psycholgy of the Bhagavad Gita.” This brilliant, insightful book
is rich with practical insight and wisdom. This is quite
possibly the greatest of all of the Master’s writings. In the
second retreat (June 23 – 30), we continue our study of the
Pratyabhijna-hradayam, a classical text within the Saivite
tantric tradition. Ksemaraja was one of the great sages of the
powerful tantric tradition, and this book is written in such a
way as to illumine the path for even the most naïve of students.
