Life is a song. Sing it and you will find the singer sitting in the Lotus of your heart.

                                                                                                H.H. Sri Swami Rama

The Center at Rock Ledge carries on the tradition of the Himalayan Sages as taught by His Holiness Swami Rama of the Himalayas. This tradition has been passed on by an unbroken chain of Himalayan sages in a traditional Gurudev-Disciple relationship far more than 6000 years. It encompasses all the philosophies and practices that have ever been followed by the great sages of the Himalayas.

Spiritual Directors: Dr. Phil and Deborah Nuernberger. Phil, initiated by his GuruDev, Swami Rama in 1970, has been personally trained by Swamiji for over 36 years both in the Himalayas of India and Nepal, and in the United States where he was instrumental in helping Swamiji create and build the Himalayan Institute. Initiated by Swamiji into the highest levels of tantric practices, Phil was one of the two first Americans to be given the grace of being an initiator for the tradition by Swamiji in 1972.  Deborah Nuernberger has been a close disciple since 1975 when she met and was initiated by Swamji.

Philosophy: The Center represents a trantric approach to life, providing the practical skills and knowledge of body, mind and spirit in order to live life as a Warrior Sage. At the very heart of the tradition is the experience of the spiritual-Self, the portal into Divinity. We provide the essence of these spiritual traditions in the scientific manner of spiritual humanism without the necessity for any particular dogma or doctrine.

Although the Center is primarily for initiates in the Himalayan Tradition, we welcome sincere seekers of any religious background, race, age, ethnicity and ability to this major source of the Himalayan Tradition of Yoga.
